Jack London Square, oakland

$300M Mixed-Use waterfront development · LEED Silver

As part of the team at Ellis Partners, Chris Collins led the design and entitlements effort on Jack London Square, a mixed-use waterfront redevelopment in the Port of Oakland including office, restaurant, and retail uses. The project included the ground up construction of modern office buildings, a 1,000 car above grade parking structure, and a six-block linear urban plaza connecting existing, historic, and new buildings with multi-purpose outdoor spaces. The centerpiece of the $300 million venture, Jack London Square Marketplace anchors the urban waterfront and enhances a dynamic mix of restaurants, retail shops, and active marinas. Sustainable design principles were embraced from the outset, resulting in a LEED Silver certification.
